*What is the Small Business Sustainability Subsidy?* (Excerpt from the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry FY2020 Public Offering Guidelines)
The purpose of this subsidy is to improve the productivity and ensure the sustainable development of small businesses and other entities that support local employment and industries, by subsidizing part of the expenses incurred for market expansion and other efforts undertaken by small businesses and specified non-profit organizations meeting certain requirements (hereinafter referred to as "small businesses, etc.") to address upcoming institutional changes (such as work style reforms, expansion of employee health insurance coverage, wage increases, and the introduction of the invoice system) that they will face successively over the coming years.
